Another year at Phi Delt starting soon

The Phi Delt blog will return to periodic updates now as the '13s wrap up Sophomore Summer and we head into the start of the 2011-2012 school year. Homecoming is just around the corner so make your travel plans soon.

Since our last update the house has seen significant improvement thanks to the generous support of alumni donations. Several old interior doors were replaced including the door to the meetings room, now secured against unauthorized entry. New hedges, gravel, and grass grace the front yard. The Phibrary now sports a large conference table that the brothers use frequently for studying, an espresso machine, and a printer accessible wirelessly anywhere on campus for all of the Phis. A foosball table can now be found in the composite room in addition to a new seating area and HD TV for sports, movies, or David Benioff '92's Game of Thrones on HBO (a house favorite). Finally, a beautiful new pong table featuring the letters and the house itself was painted by Evan Zeitchick '11 (Studio Art and Engineering).

Basement Reconstruction

Spring term has sprung, and we have a few photos of how the basement is coming along thanks to Will Montgomery '11.

Phi Delt has been severely damaged by fire

As you may have read in the news, on the early morning of the 10th, our grand old house on 5 Webster caught fire between the second floor cieling and third floor bathroom. This fire was most likely caused by a chimney issue. Full story coming soon. Here are some pictures of the aftermath.
